Aug 27 — China’s National Energy Administration held a meeting on accelerating
tidal/current energy scale-up and instructed officials to improve policy
measures, drive cost reduction and efficiency gains, and cultivate industry
growth. The NEA called for stronger cross-party coordination to tackle current
bottlenecks, strict implementation of planning, intensified R&D on core
equipment, expedited delivery of key projects, expansion of "marine energy+"
application scenarios, and accelerated push toward large-scale marine energy
deployment.
