Precious metals futures sold off. SHFE silver 2610 pulled back from an intraday high of 17,388 yuan/kg to 16,847 yuan/kg, narrowing gains to 0.10%. Trading value exceeded 53.0 bln yuan and open interest rose about 1,300 contracts intraday, with price retreating alongside higher positions. SHFE gold 2610 flipped from gains to losses; trading value exceeded 82.0 bln yuan, latest 989.8 yuan/gram, and open interest rose about 3,500 contracts intraday.

MOFCOM Vice Minister Yan Dong told a State Council Information Office briefing on Aug. 28 that during the 15th Five-Year Plan period the ministry will push a service-sector quality-and-capacity expansion campaign, accelerate service-trade innovation, open the sector to cooperation and cultivate more "China service" brands. He said MOFCOM will concentrate on three "new" priorities: accelerate cultivation of new trade drivers; steadily expand new market space; and actively advance improvements to the business environment.
