China has shipped a domestically developed F-class 50MW heavy gas turbine to
Kazakhstan — the first Chinese F-class heavy gas turbine with fully independent
intellectual property. The export marks a move from technology domestication to
industrialisation and international deployment in high-end heavy gas turbines.
The unit, composed of more than 20,000 precision parts, is reported to produce
over 70,000 kWh per hour and to cut CO2 emissions by more than 500,000 tonnes
per year per unit; it is described as higher-efficiency, lower-carbon and
fast-start compared with same-power conventional coal units and compatible with
new power-system construction.
