The current first vice minister at the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport was nominated as transport minister. A Progressive Party lawmaker was nominated as presidential chief secretary for AI future planning, and a former Blue House AI planning chief was nominated as vice chairman of the National AI Strategy Committee.

On Aug. 28 LAVROV told an interview that although the current U.S. government often calls the Ukraine crisis "Biden's war," the Trump administration continues to supply weapons and funds to Ukraine. On U.S. support for strikes on Russian territory, he said Moscow never issued any ultimatum to Washington. He added that Britain’s role in the Russia‑Ukraine conflict has been "extremely negative" and argued the UK has no permanent allies, including the United States.
