Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman says Apple (AAPL.O)’s incoming CEO Ternus, due to
take office on Sept. 1, has driven an ambitious product slate that includes a
first foldable iPhone and a smart display that recognizes speakers and
personalizes content. Gurman says the key market test will be a broad September
rollout of a new Siri AI intended to compete with ChatGPT; given the high
operating costs of such systems, Apple ultimately hopes to charge for the
service or monetize via third‑party app integrations, but must overcome Siri’s
long‑standing reputation for unreliability and limited usefulness. Early reviews
of Siri AI are broadly positive.
