YONHAP reports South Korea’s Ministry of Climate, Energy and Environment said on
Monday that Second Vice Minister Lee Ho-hyeon met U.S. official Kokodrily in
Seoul to discuss measures to secure energy supply chains and stabilize power
supply. The sides exchanged views on energy security priorities, including grid
resilience as electricity demand rises and energy storage capacity expands. Lee
said securing supply chains and stable power is a pillar of industrial
competitiveness and that the talks aim to help both countries address growing
market uncertainty and deepen bilateral energy cooperation.
