The Cyberspace Administration of China and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural
Affairs published the China Digital Countryside Development Report (2019–2025).
The report says 2025 is the closing year of the 14th Five-Year Plan and the
target year for the second phase of the Digital Countryside Development
Strategy, and it records seven years of progress: strengthened policy
frameworks, firmer digital-rural infrastructure, advances in smart agriculture,
faster development of rural digital-economy business models, improved rural
digital governance and information services, and the emergence of more livable,
smarter villages — describing these as important progress in digital countryside
construction.
