Aug 31 — The Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics (Chinese Academy of Sciences), iFlytek and Alibaba Cloud launched an intelligent chemical-engineering large model named 3.0 Pro. Marketed as China’s first industry-specific large model for the chemical sector, developers say 3.0 Pro extends beyond knowledge Q&A and content generation to add planning, execution and verification capabilities, positioning AI as an engineering partner.

Japan’s Self-Defense Forces said on the 28th it has dismissed active-duty officer Murata Akihiro after he allegedly forced his way into the Chinese embassy.
