Wang said Xi's 2018 visit with President Van der Bellen established a China–Austria friendship strategic partnership and urged using the 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations to implement leaders' consensus, deepen high‑level exchanges, consolidate political trust, and expand pragmatic and people‑to‑people cooperation. Rosenkranz reaffirmed Austria's one‑China policy, described recent high‑level contacts as a positive signal, and expressed a desire to deepen pragmatic cooperation and advance the China‑Austria strategic partnership.
