Chinese equities closed mixed. Shanghai Composite fell 0.16%, Shenzhen Composite down 1.02% and the ChiNext Index down 1.32%. Turnover across Shanghai and Shenzhen was CNY2.03 trillion, about CNY97.6 billion lower than the prior session. Advancers roughly 3,100 versus about 2,000 decliners. Grain/seed names led gains: Shennong Seed hit the 20% daily up-limit; Denghai Seed, Nongfa Seed and Longping High‑Tech also reached limits. Consumer sectors outperformed—tax‑refund stores, general retail, food & beverage and spirits—with Maoye Commercial, Cuiwei, Jiahe Food and Yiming Food at up‑limits. Defense stocks rallied intraday; Inner Mongolia First Machinery hit the up‑limit. Media and AI application plays strengthened: Mango Excellent Media extended consecutive 20% up‑limits; iReader Technology, Zhongguang Tianze, Bona Film and Huanrui Century also hit limits. Other risers included mobile payments, pharmaceutical distributors, traditional Chinese medicine, AI agents, brokers, construction machinery and underground pipeline sectors. Weakness was concentrated in memory/storage chips, MLCC, PCB, CPO, minor metals, advanced packaging and lab‑grown diamonds.

WTI crude oil futures touched $90.00/barrel, the highest since late July, up 4.28% intraday.
