Ghana Cocoa Marketing Company said adverse weather and disease are stressing
trees and 2026/27 cocoa output could fall by more than one-third, exacerbating
tightness in global chocolate raw material supply. Managing director Kofi Dogbe
forecast production of 470,000–620,000 tonnes, versus about 760,000 tonnes last
season. Dogbe’s range is below Bloomberg’s 650,000-tonne estimate last month.
