Ghana Cocoa Marketing Company said adverse weather and disease are stressing trees and 2026/27 cocoa output could fall by more than one-third, exacerbating tightness in global chocolate raw material supply. Managing director Kofi Dogbe forecast production of 470,000–620,000 tonnes, versus about 760,000 tonnes last season. Dogbe’s range is below Bloomberg’s 650,000-tonne estimate last month.

On Sept. 3 Iran's military said it used missiles and drones to attack US facilities at Kuwait's Ahmad al-Jaber Air Base and the UAE's Al Minhad Air Base. At Ahmad al-Jaber it said it struck satellite communications, equipment depots and fighter hangars, causing casualties; at Al Minhad it said it hit radar systems and other installations. The statement warned Iran would deliver a decisive, destructive response to any US attack, until final victory and punishment of the aggressors.

Broadcom (AVGO.O) forecast Q4 revenue of $34.8bn, below analysts' average $35.1bn and well under some expectations above $36bn, indicating AI-driven revenue may be ramping slower than investors expected. NVIDIA's strong guidance last week had boosted market demand assumptions for AI chips. Broadcom is rolling out custom AI processors to challenge NVIDIA; the business has won some large customers but remains at an early stage. Competitors Marvell and MediaTek, both supported by NVIDIA, add competitive pressure. Broadcom shares fell about 6% in after-hours trading.
