Mexico’s foreign minister Velasco will visit China Sept. 6-7, Beijing said. The
foreign ministry described Mexico as a major Latin American economy and key
emerging market and reaffirmed China and Mexico as comprehensive strategic
partners. The trip, Velasco’s first to China since his April appointment, will
be used to exchange views on bilateral and regional issues, deepen political
trust, expand mutually beneficial cooperation and promote the stable development
of China‑Mexico relations.
