Qatar's foreign ministry strongly condemned Iran's attack on Kuwait, calling it
a serious violation of Kuwait's sovereignty and territorial integrity and a
blatant breach of international law, the UN Charter and good-neighbour
principles. The ministry said continued attacks constitute a serious escalation
that may complicate efforts to contain tensions and undermine political and
diplomatic work to restore regional security; it reiterated full support for
Kuwait's right to take all lawful measures to defend its sovereignty, and called
for an immediate, comprehensive halt to military actions and a return to
dialogue.
