At the Saudi Capital Markets Forum (Shanghai session) on Sept. 3, Zhang Bin, director of the Shanghai Stock Exchange international cooperation department, said SSE will deepen cross-border product cooperation, expand its cross-border ETF lineup to include Middle East exposures, and continue to improve two-way connectivity mechanisms to facilitate cross-border asset allocation for global investors. He said that as of end‑August 2026 SSE’s cross-border ETF investment scope covers the US, Germany, France, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Saudi Arabia and other mature and emerging markets, with total assets exceeding CNY 500 billion — nearly eightfold growth versus the same period in 2021.
