Hang Seng Index futures opened the day session up 1.28% at 25,467, trading at a 254-point premium to the cash index.

Chery Holding chairman Yin Tongyue said the company will advance multiple next-generation battery technologies in parallel and will not install unsafe tech on vehicles. Chery’s Rhino battery family includes hybrid-specific, BEV-specific and solid-state-specific lines; its solid-state cell has reached 400 Wh/kg. A Rhino solid–liquid hybrid version is planned for vehicle fitment in Q4 2026, and full solid-state on-vehicle validation is scheduled for 2027.

Shanghai Stock Exchange vice chairman Huo Ruirong said the SSE will deepen exchanges with the Saudi Exchange Group and build more efficient two‑way connectivity platforms to expand engagement opportunities for listed companies, brokerages and fund managers. He said China and Saudi Arabia are aligning the Belt and Road initiative with Saudi Vision 2030, with rising trade and investment and expanding cooperation in energy, infrastructure and high‑tech that reinforces the real‑economy foundation for linked capital markets.
