RBC BlueBay Asset Management fixed-income CIO Mark Dowding said in a note he doubts Japan PM Takaichi will support excessive yen appreciation. Peskov said the U.S. is still mediating and Russia is willing to pursue a peaceful resolution, but reiterated that President Putin's June 2024 peace conditions remain unchanged. He said there are currently no specific preconditions for restarting a peace process, and repeated Putin's June formulation that Russia will declare a ceasefire and begin negotiations once Ukrainian forces withdraw from Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions and Kyiv declares it will not join NATO.
