Israeli public radio reported on the 5th that the IDF is preparing a partial
withdrawal from southern Lebanon and will establish a narrower border security
zone. The report says the IDF completed destruction of a Hezbollah tunnel
beneath high ground near Nebetiyeh and has drafted a plan to pull back to
positions closer to the Israel‑Lebanon border, reducing its controlled depth in
southern Lebanon from about 10km to roughly 3–4km. The new deployment line,
dubbed the "grey line", would replace the current "yellow line."
