Two sources familiar with the talks told Refinitiv OPEC+ will leave its October
oil output policy unchanged at Sunday’s meeting, saying members must first agree
new quotas before taking further production action. A layer of cuts covering
most of the 21-member group remains in place through end-2026. The group needs
to review members’ oil capacity to set 2027 production baselines that will
underpin quotas before any phased exit from cuts, and sources said those
baseline talks may occur in late 2026, so OPEC+ could pause output increases in
Q4.
