Turkey's medium-term economic plan projects inflation at 28.4% in 2026, 21.0% in 2027 and 13.5% in 2028. Unemployment is forecast at 8.1% in 2026, 8.0% in 2027 and 7.8% in 2028. The plan forecasts a budget deficit of 3.5% of GDP in 2027, 3.1% in 2028 and 2.8% in 2029.

Tesla AI head Ashok Elluswamy said this week the company’s Robotaxi autonomous ride service is close to achieving 24-hour operation. Replying to a user seeking late-night Cybercab service, he said the capability will launch “around next month” after integration of the next technology in the v15 plan. Robotaxi currently operates seven days a week in the US from 06:00–22:00 in Austin, Dallas, Houston, Miami, Orlando and Tampa.

On Sept. 6, Iran’s armed forces chief of staff said Iran will not surrender to the US and that US pressure via soft‑power, cognitive and economic warfare cannot force Tehran to change course. He said US planners mistakenly expected Iran to capitulate before any military action and are now attempting to use non‑military measures to compensate for strategic failures. He added Iran has demonstrated a new model of resistance.
