Iran’s foreign ministry on Saturday condemned a US strike on an Iranian oil tanker in the Persian Gulf and Gulf of Oman, calling it part of a sustained US military campaign including maritime blockade and economic warfare. Tehran said the attacks violated Article 2(4) of the UN Charter, posed a clear threat to international peace and commercial shipping, and vowed to defend its sovereignty and national interests.
