A-shares traded mixed at midday: Shanghai Composite down 0.24%, Shenzhen
Composite up 1.38%, ChiNext Index up 2.63%. Beijing Stock Exchange 50 Index rose
0.67%; STAR 50 Index gained 1.56%. Turnover across Shanghai and Shenzhen stood
at 1.24 trln yuan, up 8.6 bln yuan from the previous session. Market breadth was
strong with over 2,900 stocks higher. AI hardware and the CPO sector led gains;
names including Xunjiexing, Jianqiao Keji and Mingpu Guangci hit daily limits.
Planting and forestry continued last week’s strength with Yasheng Group and
Dunhuang Seed at limit up. Consumer discretionary rallied, led by retail and
tourism — Zhongbai Group, Central Shopping Mall, Baida Group, Guofang Group,
Guilin Tourism and Huatian Hotel reached limit up. Kitchen-appliance makers
lagged: Yitian Intelligent fell over 11% intraday, with Huoxingren, Richu
Dongfang and Wanhe Electric also weaker. Coal mining and processing stocks
underperformed; China Coal Energy, Haohua Energy and China Shenhua retreated.
