South Korea's ETNews reports Apple’s first foldable iPhone may launch in North
America first because initial production cannot meet demand, delaying other
markets. A South Korean telecom industry source expects the earliest Korean
availability in late October to early November. Apple will unveil the device on
Sept. 10 (Beijing time); the product is expected to be called iPhone Fold or
iPhone Ultra and to adopt a book-style horizontal fold. ETNews says Apple is
facing yield issues with the hinge and foldable panel and may need extra time to
ready shipments; if confirmed, the global rollout could be pushed back.
