China said it will deepen practical cooperation with Central Asian states on countering terrorism, separatism and extremism; tackling transnational crime; managing migration; protecting Chinese overseas interests; and building law enforcement capacity. Beijing also pledged enhanced security for major Belt and Road Initiative projects and urged the mechanism to serve as a model for cross-sector cooperation to jointly address diverse threats and support regional security stability.
