Zotye Auto shares hit the daily up-limit after the open, quoted at 1.84 yuan per share, implying a market cap of about 9.278 bln yuan. The company held its fourth interim shareholders meeting of 2026 yesterday and approved the election of three non-independent directors. On its investor platform Zotye said R&D on a newly self-developed model is progressing steadily and it plans to launch a new car within the year, “but this is only a plan.” A securities affairs staffer said the director election is not necessarily linked to today’s share-price rise and described the move as market-driven with multiple possible causes.
