Nippon Steel signed a JPY30 billion subordinated loan agreement.

As of Sept. 1 the Russian National Wealth Fund stood at 13.19 tln rubles (~$154.1 bln), equal to 5.6% of projected 2026 GDP. Liquid assets were 4.0 tln rubles (~$46.7 bln), up from 3.69 tln rubles on Aug. 1. In accounts at the Russian central bank the fund held 184.0 bln yuan, 131.5 tonnes of gold and 1.7 bln rubles. From Jan.–Aug. 2026 foreign-currency asset exchange-rate changes and gold revaluation gains totaled 594.8 bln rubles.

Japan 40-year bond yield fell 6.5 bps intraday to 4.025%.
