Yemen’s Houthi movement said it launched a large-scale operation targeting ARAMCO facilities in Abha and Najran, the Jizan economic zone and other ARAMCO sites, and the Khamis Mushait air base. The group said the strikes used dozens of ballistic missiles and drones and were carried out in response to 121 Saudi airstrikes on Houthi positions over the past three days.

Goldman Sachs Global Investment Research APAC portfolio strategy team says that as of Aug. 31, 2026, foreign investors have net sold $173.5bn from emerging Asian equity markets excluding China since 2025. Korea led outflows at $109.4bn, Taiwan $36.3bn and India $23.4bn. Over the same period local institutional investors posted net inflows of about $114.0bn, led by India ($59.7bn), Korea ($29.1bn) and Taiwan ($22.1bn). Despite continued foreign exits, Korea and Taiwan equities have risen 90.6% and 62.0% in dollar terms year-to-date, supported by domestic buying and AI/semiconductor earnings expectations; India’s market has been sustained mainly by local institutional demand absorbing foreign selling.
