Iran's economy minister said an agreement with Russia could strengthen Iran's resilience to sanctions and pressure.

An RBC Capital Markets strategist said recent pledges by UK Prime Minister Burnham and Chancellor Healey to maintain fiscal discipline could support UK gilt performance. Healey’s speech this week reaffirming the government’s commitment to fiscal responsibility has eased investor concerns ahead of the Oct. 28 budget, the strategist said. The Tuesday syndication of a gilt maturing Jan. 2056 will test demand for UK government debt; the strategist said the fiscal backdrop should be supportive of demand.
