U.S. Treasury yields rose after oil prices climbed and last week’s stronger-than-expected U.S. jobs data raised odds of a near-term Fed hike. Danske Bank analysts said they do not necessarily expect a hike next week but view current market pricing — roughly even odds of a hike versus hold — as reasonable, and continue to forecast Fed rate hikes in December and March. The dollar softened against a currency basket after the yen strengthened further.
