Digitimes reports that as major tech firms increase spending on custom AI chips,
competitive focus is shifting to network technologies that connect ever-more
complex compute systems. AI infrastructure is moving toward multi-architecture
deployments — GPUs alongside proprietary AI accelerators — boosting demand for
advanced interconnects. The shift should create opportunities across the supply
chain, from switch and interconnect-chip makers to cable, connector and
optical-component suppliers, particularly within Taiwan’s hardware ecosystem.
