Shaoguan city (Guangdong) published a public consultation draft outlining a plan to become a core compute hub for the Greater Bay Area. The plan calls for introducing and siting large and hyperscale data centers and intelligent-computing centers to meet local and GBA industrial digitalization needs and raise compute scale and tier; by 2030 it targets capacity equivalent to 1,000,000 standard racks and more than 750,000 PFLOPS of installed intelligent-computing capability.
