OpenAI is deepening cooperation with Samsung Electronics, expanding the
relationship into semiconductors and enterprise AI services as it advances
in‑house chip R&D, OpenAI Korea head Harrison Kim said in Seoul; he provided no
further details. Samsung Electronics said it could not confirm customer‑related
information. Kim said deployment of more advanced chips for faster, more complex
compute will sustain demand for memory chips, making partnerships with Korean
semiconductor suppliers a priority for OpenAI’s local office. OpenAI said
ChatGPT enterprise users among Korean companies and institutions rose about
27‑fold y/y as of end‑August; as of end‑last year Korea had the largest number
