Jordan Armed Forces said in an early-morning statement that missiles originating from Iranian territory struck Jordan in recent hours. Jordanian air-defence systems intercepted 20 ballistic missiles fired toward Jordanian territory, destroying 18; two fell in sparsely populated open areas. The military said it acted under established procedures to protect airspace and civilians. Monitoring, tracking and assessment operations are ongoing.
