Reserve Bank of India will add five currency pairs to its retail forex platform — euro, pound, Swiss franc, Canadian dollar and UAE dirham — to broaden individual access, the central bank’s chief general manager said. The web‑based platform, launched in 2019 to offer cheaper foreign exchange than banks, averages about $100m in daily turnover. The RBI also plans to add yen, Australian dollar, Singapore dollar, Hong Kong dollar and New Zealand dollar.
