-0.77%, ChiNext -0.49%, Beijing 50 index -2.81%. Market liquidity weakened
further as turnover fell below CNY2.0 trillion for a fourth session to CNY1.65
trillion, down CNY208.5 billion from the prior day; over 4,400 stocks fell.
Grain and liquor sectors led declines — COFCO Sugar hit limit-down while Huazi
Industrial, Shenliang Holdings and Baolingbao plunged. Planting and forestry
stocks were weak; Hainan Rubber hit limit-down, and Yasheng Group, Nongfa Seed
and Wanxiang Denong tumbled. Banks traded higher, led by Ningbo Bank, Nanjing
Bank and Jiangsu Bank. Travel and consumer names outperformed: Guilin Tourism
posted a fourth straight limit-up and Nanning Department Store hit limit-up.
