At a regular press briefing on Sept. 10, MOFCOM spokesperson Huang Ling urged
France to acknowledge China's position and immediately stop using the
'Anti‑Over‑Fast‑Fashion Law' to infringe the legitimate rights of Chinese‑funded
enterprises. MOFCOM said the law and its implementing rules, cloaked as
environmental and sustainability measures, set targeted standards and parameters
that discriminate against and suppress Chinese cross‑border e‑commerce firms,
risk seriously distorting fair competition, exceed environmental scope and carry
clear protectionist intent; China has repeatedly expressed stern concerns to
France.
