CSRC Vice Chairman Li Chao said at a Sept. 10 State Council Information Office
briefing the commission will deepen market mechanisms to attract long-term
capital, promote a steady increase in the size and share of long-term funds in
the market, and vigorously expand equity mutual funds to bolster the stabilizer
role of long-term institutional investors. He said the CSRC will strengthen
cross-market, cross-industry and cross-border risk monitoring, work to establish
a long-term mechanism for monetary-policy tools that support the capital market
and broaden the policy toolbox, and enhance expectation management and the
public-opinion environment.
