Sources say EU countries will seek to impose import restrictions on chemicals and plastics.

At a Sept. 10 State Council Information Office briefing, SAFE spokesperson and deputy director Li Bin said that during the 15th Five-Year Plan period the agency will strengthen prevention and supervision of cross-border capital flow risks. SAFE will maintain a dual macroprudential-plus-micro supervision framework in the foreign-exchange market, refine macroprudential management of cross-border capital flows, and aim to prevent potential systemic risks from large, rapid capital inflows or outflows.
