Prediction-market firm Polymarket has hired its first chief financial officer, Warren Jenson, as it seeks new funding and aims to close the gap with competitor Kalshi. Jenson previously held senior finance roles at Nielsen and LiveRamp. CEO Shayne Coplan said Jenson’s experience will be critical as the company scales its operations.

At the 2026 Inclusion·Bund conference main forum, Lu Chaoyang, executive dean of the USTC Shanghai Research Institute, said quantum computing remains immature and is not a universal accelerator. He said quantum speedups are likely limited to a narrow class of problems with special mathematical structure; to date there is no widely accepted evidence of practical quantum acceleration in finance, nor any accepted quantum algorithm that speeds up contemporary large-model training.
