He noted global current‑account surpluses and deficits are mirror images; recent years have seen expanding, highly concentrated surpluses, but country distribution adjusts with changes in global industrial division of labor and is expected to diversify. Li added that China’s current‑account surplus funds are being deployed abroad through real‑economy and financial investments, supporting a more balanced domestic investment profile and the development of partner countries’ industry and financial markets.
