IRNA reported Houthi senior member Hazam al-Asad said the ball is on Saudi Arabia’s side and Riyadh must lift its blockade on Yemen, warning that if Saudi refuses the next phase of operations could escalate. Al-Asad said the movement has recently made significant gains, seizing and “liberating” multiple Saudi military bases on the kingdom’s west coast, and asserted it has the military capacity to expand control and meet any challenge.
