The Central Cyberspace Administration, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs
and Ministry of Industry and Information Technology jointly issued the Digital
Countryside High-Quality Development Action Plan (2026–2030). The plan
prioritizes agricultural technology innovation and calls for an integrated
basic-research-to-R&D-and-manufacturing innovation system. It seeks
breakthroughs in agricultural sensors, dedicated chips, core algorithms,
robotics and intelligent design/breeding tools. Measures include a high-quality
agricultural machinery program to develop and deploy high‑precision intelligent
farm equipment, establishment of quality inspection and testing systems for
smart ag tech, coordinated R&D between digital/AI technologies and
mechanization/agronomy, expanded trials of unmanned farm machinery, and guidance
for qualified regions to set up digital-village technology innovation centers.
