China and Norway held the 22nd China-Norway Economic Cooperation Joint Committee meeting in Beijing. China said bilateral trade has grown strongly and investment flows have become more diversified under recent strategic guidance. China welcomed Norway as guest country for the 2026 China International Fair for Trade in Services and proposed stepped-up services cooperation and deeper practical ties in green/environmental tech, energy transition, shipbuilding and maritime shipping. Both sides reiterated support for free trade and market openness. China invited Norwegian firms to invest in China and urged Norway to ensure a fair, transparent and non-discriminatory business environment for Chinese companies operating in Norway.
