Shanghai Futures Exchange said effective from the trading day of Sept. 15, 2026 (night session starting Sept. 14), the maximum intraday opening quantity for fuel oil futures contracts FU2610 and FU2611 will be capped at 3,000 lots for non-futures firm members, overseas special non-broker participants and clients.

U.S. Treasury Secretary Bessent rejected claims his actions in the Treasury market conflict with Fed Chair Kevin Warsh, calling the characterization "nonsense." Warsh said in July markets should price without Fed policy guidance, adding market participants are learning to focus on the game itself rather than the referee. Bessent said investors have not demanded an extra risk premium for long-term Treasuries and dismissed related concerns as "unfounded noise."
