Sept. 11 — China’s National Healthcare Security Administration organized a morning expert meeting on surgical robots with representatives from seven domestic and foreign manufacturers, including MicroPort, Medtronic, Intuitive‑Fosun, Stryker, Huake Precision, Shenzhen Jingfeng and Beijing Tianzhihang, and delegations from Guangdong Provincial People’s Hospital, Peking University People’s Hospital, Beijing Tiantan Hospital, Jishuitan Hospital and Beijing Tongren Hospital. Sept. 11 — China’s National Healthcare Security Administration organized a morning expert meeting on surgical robots with representatives from seven domestic and foreign manufacturers, including MicroPort, Medtronic, Intuitive‑Fosun, Stryker, Huake Precision, Shenzhen Jingfeng and Beijing Tianzhihang, and delegations from Guangdong Provincial People’s Hospital, Peking University People’s Hospital, Beijing Tiantan Hospital, Jishuitan Hospital and Beijing Tongren Hospital. Participants broadly agreed that surgical-robot functions should be expanded beyond high-concentration areas (urology, orthopedics, general surgery) into targeted applications such as neurosurgery and interventional specialties; that development should be closely integrated with fast‑advancing brain‑computer interface technology, intelligent robots and AI; and that adoption should draw on other robotics best practices, broaden clinical use cases and proceed toward partial or full autonomy with cautious, evidence‑based steps.
