Liz Miller, founder and president of Summit Place Financial Advisors, said
markets largely expect the Fed to raise rates next week and she assigns a high
probability, but a further tightening is "fundamentally unnecessary" given
overall economic stability. Miller said she wants to hear the Fed's
deliberations—some Fed officials favor preemptive action to push inf back to
2%—and recommended monitoring whether rising oil prices pass through to core inf
and whether core inf begins to ease.
