On Sept 11 in New Delhi, China National Petroleum Corp (CNPC) chairman Dai Houliang met India's petroleum and natural gas minister Puri to discuss deepening cooperation. Dai said CNPC is willing to implement bilateral leaders' consensus, strengthen communication and coordination, and seek expanded cooperation in oil and gas, new energy and green/low‑carbon areas; Puri said the ministry places high importance on ties with CNPC and, as large energy importers and consumers, India and China will strengthen communication based on existing cooperation.

Traders and market sources said unless flows are restored within days, a Saudi pipeline outage could remove about 4% of global oil supply. Saudi storage at Yanbu can sustain exports for roughly 5–7 days; there are small additional stocks in Egypt.
