TrendForce said on the 14th that SK Hynix’s Q2 DRAM revenue rose 37.9% QoQ to
$38.59bn, but its DRAM market share fell from 28.8% to 24.9% (down 3.9
percentage points). Samsung Electronics led with a 39.4% share; Micron held
23.3%, narrowing its gap with SK Hynix to 1.6 percentage points. TrendForce
attributed SK Hynix’s share decline not to weak DRAM sales but to a
heavier-than-peer mix of high-bandwidth memory (HBM) and production-volume
differences with Samsung.
