Ahead of the inaugural Canada Investment Summit in Toronto on 14-15, Prime
Minister Carney said Canada has reached a new national consensus to take control
of its future. The summit aims to attract C$1 tln of investment over five years
(about US$720 bln) and will showcase priority projects in energy, critical
minerals, high-tech and major infrastructure to link global capital with
Canadian projects, bolster supply-chain resilience, lift productivity and reduce
dependence on the US.
