Sept. 14 — Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun, at a routine briefing, dismissed claims by U.S. AI companies that Chinese AI development poses a threat to the United States. He said AI affects humanity’s common welfare and urged parties to promote openness, inclusiveness and shared benefits; he warned that spreading threat narratives, confrontation or malicious competition will only interfere with global AI governance and serve none of the parties’ interests.

IDC reported global household cleaning robot shipments reached about 11.205 mln units in Q2 2026, up 21.5% YoY. Vacuum robot shipments were 7.885 mln, with market concentration among leading vendors continuing to rise.
