TIMIRAOS: The Chicago Fed published a paper on the Fed’s dot plot showing that when the SEP median federal funds forecast is 25 bps above market expectations, OIS-forward rates moved only about 5 bps on the same day. The paper says part of the market adjustment reflects the public view that SEP dot plots are conditional assessments, not firm commitments, and that they contain substantial uncertainty.
